CENTRO DE FORMAÇÃO PROFISSIONAL PARA O COMÉRCIO E AFINS is a public vocational training centre that was created by a protocol signed in 1986 between IEFP – Institute of Employment and Vocational Training (public body depending on the Ministry of Solidarity, Employment and Social Security and responsible for the implementation of the national policies in terms of employment and VET) and CCP – the Portuguese Commerce and Services Confederation (social partner representing the commerce and services sector).
The aim of CECOA is to promote educational activities and vocational training, including the apprenticeship in the trade and services sectors. With a national scope, CECOA has its head office in Lisbon and two other branches in Porto and Coimbra. CECOA has more than 29 years of experience, 37 full time employees and around 657 external trainers/consultants and until July 2015 with more than 90.000 students trained in our institution.
CECOA works in different training modalities and for different target groups:
- Initial VET for Young People;
- Education and Training Programs for Adults;
- Continuing Training for employees and people already in the labour market (catalogue and tailor-made training organised in order to fit the needs and demands of a company or organization);
- Distance learning, training of trainers as well support services for companies and organisations.
CECOA is an entity recognised under the national system of assessment and accreditation of VET Providers and since 2005 Cecoa´s Quality Management System (QMS) is recognised under ISO 9001:2008.
CECOA has more than 15 years of experience in the development of national and international projects of R&D and innovation, namely in the framework of European projects in the VET field and/or for the trade and services sectors.

The Portuguese Catholic University (UCP) is a non-state university. An academic community that helps defend and develop the human being and his/her cultural heritage through research, teaching and services. A major presence in the Portuguese university world, characterized by a Christian vision of mankind and making a specific contribution to all areas of knowledge.
UCP is recognized by the Portuguese State as a free, autonomous university institution of public utility. UCP was founded in 1967 and gained official recognition in 1971. It was the first modern Portuguese university not to be founded by the State, but is instead the result of the Concordat between the Portuguese government and the Vatican, which established the university under the tutelage of the Catholic Church. Since its foundation, it has made a significant contribution to the development of higher education in Portugal, as recognized in the legal framework (Decree-Law 128/90) for the university, published in 1990.
CEPCEP (Study Centre on Peoples and Cultures) is a research centre of the Portuguese Catholic University, established in February 1983. CEPCEP pursues the development of culture, knowledge, advanced research, and co-operation in the intellectual, artistic, technological and scientific fields, bringing together people from different walks in life and from various continents. In accordance with its charter, CEPCEP aims at furthering the understanding of human and cultural interactions throughout the world and the collaboration in the advancement of knowledge in all fields related to human and social behaviour.
From 1983 to date CEPCEP has carried out several courses, seminars and research projects. «Povos e Culturas» (Peoples and Cultures) is the title of CEPCEP official journal, which covers diverse thematic areas. Moreover, the journal is concerned with an adequate geographical representation: Portugal, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Latin America. In addition, CEPCEP runs an intensive editorial activity touching a wide range of initiatives encompassing books, studies, working papers, and encyclopaedia.

Founded in 2002, TESE is one of the leading Portuguese NGO in the field of social innovation. TESE’s mission is to create and implement innovative responses that better promote social development, equal opportunities and quality of life, creating partnerships with public, private and society civil organisations.
In Portugal, TESE works in the fields of 1) Youth employability (through non-formal education, training and social inclusion projects and also with research projects); 2) Non-profit management skills empowerment (through consultancy and training) and 3) Innovation and strategic planning in Corporate Social Responsibility (consultancy services to companies and private foundations).
Also working in Portuguese speaking African countries (Mozambique, Guinea-Bissau, Sao Tomé and Príncipe, Angola and Cape Verde) TESE promotes development and cooperation projects in the fields of water and sanitation, renewable energy and waste management.
To develop its work, TESE produces knowledge, develops research, awareness and networking initiatives; creates and implements social solutions designing and implementing innovative social projects and shares know-how through consulting services to private sector entities and public bodies in TESE’s areas of expertise and through training.

TIHR is a social science research, consultancy and training organisation that applies social science ideas and methods to problems of policy and practice, change and innovation, and organisational design. A distinctive feature of the Institute’s work is its focus on social, organisational and policy dynamics through action research, formative evaluation, cross-national research, consultancy, and leadership and management training all in service of supporting sustainable change and ongoing learning. The Institute has vast experience of working at the European level (e.g. for DG EMPL, DG CONNECT, DG RESEARCH, IPTS) as well as in national and local contexts. The institute’s research staff come from a broad cross-section of disciplines, including education, political science, sociology, psychology, anthropology, psychotherapy, and organisational studies.

CPV is a Foundation promoted by the Chamber of Commerce of Vicenza in collaboration with 4 other Chambers of Commerce as well as several Business Associations. Its main activities are to inform companies, to train business people, managers and technicians, to offer services for SMEs development, services for technological innovation and patent rights. CPV has an extensive experience in designing and implementing vocational training projects (work experiences, work-based learning, etc.) well as pilot and awareness-raising initiatives mainly targeting young people, adults, women and other disadvantaged groups at risk of exclusion from the labour market. During the past years, CPV has been intensively working on enhancing employment opportunities also for young people and women by carrying out affirmative actions in support of enterprise starting, formalizing and growing and by mainstreaming equality issues into local enterprises development. CPV has established also the Corporate Social Responsibility Desk to mainstream social responsible behaviours to promote equal opportunities in education through awareness-raising initiatives targeting students and teaching staff. CPV is also involved in many EU-funded projects in the fields of VET, higher, adult education, credits transfer, international learning mobility projects and strategies, etc. participating both as Project Coordinator and project partner.
CPV is certified UNI EN ISO 9001 and is also accredited by the Regional Government for the delivery of Employment Services according to the Regional Act 13 March 2009, no. 3.

Fundación Ronsel

The Ronsel Foundation was born in the year 2000 with the aim of improving the employability of people, promoting social and labor insertion and encouraging self-employment. It is a charitable-teaching entity, registered in the Registry of Foundations of Galician Interest under the Protectorate of the Galician Regional Government (Ministry of Economy, Employment and Industry). The consideration of Galician Interest involves the fulfilment of a series of requirements of transparency, constitution and forms of government, which are fundamental in social responsibility. It is inscribed in the Registry of Social Services Providers in the Autonomous Community of Galicia, which defines its nature, its area of action and its activities, but through alliances with other entities and its membership in various networks, it extends its impact on the spanish, european and international territory.
The mission, vision and values of the Ronsel Foundation are focused on the empowerment of people. The growth of a society, its capacity for growth and transformation, must occur from the evolution of the people who compose it. The greater their capacity to understand, learn and share, the greater their contribution to the society they belong to.
It is certified in quality, according to the reference standard ISO 9001: 2015, with a scope of certification for activities such as socio-labor insertion, promotion of employment, orientation activities, training and intermediation, self-employment and entrepreneur projects.
It has offices in A Coruña (headquarters) and Santiago de Compostela, it is a private placement agency and it offers courses with certificates of professionalism. It is part of the Galician Social Inclusion Plan, EAPN Galicia and Youth Business Spain, and it has joint to the Strategy of Entrepreneurship and Youth Employment of Spain’s Government.
It develops its work in four areas: socio-labor orientation (including legal advice for the migrant group), labor market intermediation, professional occupational training and advice for the creation of companies (self-employment).

ISOB GmbH has long relevant experience in the field of fighting youth unemployment and particularly in further improving the dual system in Germany. ISOB has been part of the evaluation team of the Federal Institute for Education and Training for the initiative “JUMP” a major government initiative to fight youth unemployment. More recently ISOB was part of the scientific guidance consortium for a major program of the Federal Institute for Education and Training on “Heterogeneous Groups of Learners in Initial Training”, a program that included more than 20 individual pilot projects, each with a volume of more than 350000€. Relevant projects in DE implemented by ISOB include “Preparing Young People for Group Work”, “Competency Development Planning through strategic training”; Qualification of Training Staff in SME (QUAM)”. Researchers of ISOB have implemented a number of initial training related projects for other organizations, as “BeVo+: On the job training and practical vocational preparation – utilising training potential for SMEs in Eastern Bavaria: Promotion of heterogeneous target groups of young people entering the dual system.”; Managing Director Alexander Krauss is a certified Competency Portfolio Trainer, a proven methodology to guide and coach young people who are NEETS, which has been validated with more than 6000 clients. ISOB is member of the SPS e.V. a Cluster Management Organisation of the Sensors Industry in Bavaria, comprising 200 companies, Universities and research organizations. The network was awarded the title “innovative network 2014” by the German Ministery for Education and Science in a competition of 70 networks in DE, particularly for its achievements in projects developed in cooperation with the ISOB partners. One focus of the network is to engage all relevant partners in maintaining the human resources base for the industry, among other measures by providing training opportunities for non-traditional groups of learners.
